Thurso is the most northerly town on the Scottish mainland. It is situated at the mouth of the River Thurso and is an excellent base for touring the north and visiting Orkney.

ITINERARY
Day 1	We depart from home and travel to Thurso.
Day 2	We will make a visit to the Castle of Mey (former home of the Queen Mother) continuing on to John O’ Groats and Wick before returning to Thurso.
Day 3	Our excursion today takes us along the north coast to Tongue.
Day 4	We travel to John O’ Groats to board the ferry to Orkney. We will be met by a local coach for a days sightseeing on the island accompanied by a local guide.
Day 5	We depart Thurso and travel home to arrive late afternoon.
