ITINERARY
Day 1 We make our way to Fort William for our overnight stay,
stopping first in Oban.
Day 2 Today we make our way to Uig on Skye, passing over the
famous Cuillin Hills, stopping in the Island capital of Portree
before continuing to catch the afternoon ferry to North Uist.
We disembark in Lochmaddy and continue to Benbecula and
our base for the next two nights, the Dark Island Hotel.
Day 3 We travel by causeway to the Island of Eriskay then board the
ferry to the Isle of Barra returning in the evening to the Dark
Island Hotel.
Day 4 We leave Benbecula and board our ferry to Leverburgh,
making our way to Lewis, through Harris, where we can
see the Island of Taransay, featured on the TV programme
“Castaway” and arrive at the Caladh Inn in Stornoway.
Day 5 Our excursion today takes us to the West of Lewis, visiting
the Callenish Stones, which rank only second to Stonehenge,
the Black House at Arnol and Shawbost. Weather permitting,
we will have a stop at the glorious Atlantic beach at Uig.
Day 6 We have a morning free in Stornoway, why not buy some
of the famous Stornoway Black Pudding? We catch the
afternoon ferry to Ullapool and travel homeward to arrive late
evening.
