| ITINERARY |
| Day 1 |
We travel to Hull for our overnight ferry to Rotterdam. |
| Day 2 |
After disembarking, we travel to Vianden in Luxembourg
visiting Valkenburg’s Christmas Markets, the council caves that
once provided shelter for soldiers are transformed into a winter
wonderland. |
| Day 3 |
We enjoy an excursion to Trier, Germany’s oldest city, to the
small but charming market set in the medieval main market. |
| Day 4 |
The coach will take us to Luxembourg City, where the
Christmas Market takes place in the pedestrianised Place
d’Armes, wooden huts are set up on town and city squares, all
sorts of Christmassy goods are on sale: locally produced arts
and crafts (candles, Christmas trees and decorations, cribs,
music, etc), and of course plenty of food and drink to warm you
from the inside |
| Day 5 |
We leave Luxembourg and head for Zeebrugge, stopping in
Aachan, every year before Christmas, the squares and streets
around the Aachen Town Hall are transformed into a paradise
of lights and colours, festive sounds and seductive smells.
We then board our overnight ferry for our crossing back to Hull. |
| Day 6 |
We leave our ferry in Hull and travel home to arrive early
evening. |
