| ITINERARY |
| Day 1 |
We leave home and travel to Hull for our overnight ferry
to Rotterdam. |
| Day 2 |
We disembark and travel through Holland into Germany
and on to our overnight stop in the Hamburg area,
arriving in time for dinner. |
| Day 3 |
We travel north to Denmark via Odense where the
legendary storyteller Hans Christian Andersen was born
and on to Copenhagen and our base for the next six
nights, the Scandic Hotel. |
| Day 4 |
Today we have a guided tour of Copenhagen, taking in
the Nyhavn harbour area, the Royal Palace of
Amalienborg and the changing of the guard, the Royal
Theatre and the Parliament and of course the “Little
Mermaid”. There will also be some free time to enjoy a
stroll amongst the shops. |
| Day 5 |
Today we drive across the impressive 8 mile long
Oresund Bridge which links Denmark with Sweden to the
city of Malmo with its historic medieval centre and canals,
parks and gardens. We will also pay a visit to Ystad, an
enchanting medieval town with over 300 half timbered
houses. |
| Day 6 |
Our excursion today takes us along the beautiful road
north of Copenhagen to the imposing Kronborg Castle at
Helsingor, the famous setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. |
| Day 7 |
Free today to shop or sightsee. |
| Day 8 |
Our last day in Copenhagen, we will take a short drive to
the picturesque 18th century fishing village of Dragor.
Walk among the tiny half timbered thatched cottages with
their stamp size gardens and enjoy some sea air on the
harbour side. We return to Copenhagen and visit the
world famous Tivoli Gardens, historical fairground,
gardens and showground. |
| Day 9 |
We leave Copenhagen and travel south where we take
the ferry crossing from Rodby to Puttgarden and onto
Hodenhagen for our overnight stop. |
| Day 10 |
After breakfast, we travel to Rotterdam for our overnight
crossing to Hull. |
| Day 11 |
After disembarking in Hull, we travel to home to arrive
early evening. |
