| ITINERARY |
| Day 1 |
Travel to York via M74, M6 and A66 stopping in the
picturesque town of Appleby before continuing across the
Pennines and into York. |
| Day 2 |
Today we start with a guided tour of York with a local guide,
in the afternoon, we will visit Castle Howard* Enjoy the
dramatic interiors of the house containing world-famous
collections, and listen to friendly guides as they share
their detailed knowledge. In the grounds be swept away
by the scale and beauty of Castle Howard’s monumental
landscape, which offers spectacular views at every turn. |
| Day 3 |
Full day excursion touring “Heartbeat” country, taking in the
Yorkshire Moors, visiting Pickering and Whitby. |
| Day 4 |
At leisure in York, time to visit some of the multitude of
attractions available or shop in the Stonegate, Goodramgate
or Petergate, all have shops full of interesting antiques, art
craft and fashion. |
| Day 5 |
Return home to arrive early evening. |

St Nicholas Fayre is one of the most popular Christmas Markets in the UK, with thousands of visitors over the four day event. The Fayre offers a range of markets specialising in gifts, crafts and the very best in local farm produce. The city comes alive with bustling stalls, carol singers and buskers and just at the right time to get you in the Festive Spirit.

We travel to York via Gretna Outlet Village to arrive in York
late afternoon. |
| Day 2 |
Christmas at Castle Howard is a must for visitors of all
ages. With rooms lit by roaring fires and candlelight, this
is a magical time to explore one of England’s finest historic
houses. See the dramatic 18th-century interiors transformed
with giant Christmas trees, traditional decorations and eyecatching
displays chosen by the Howard family; enjoy a
free programme of live music and see the Hon. Mrs Simon
Howard’s sparkling collection of eveningwear |

Today we will travel the short distance to York where you will
be free to enjoy the attractions of the Fayre. |
| Day 4 |
Depart after breakfast to visit the Newcastle Metro Centre,
arriving home late evening. |
