| ITINERARY |
| Day 1 |
We leave early morning and travel to Portsmouth to catch
the 45 minute ferry to the Isle of Wight, arriving in time for
our buffet dinner. |

| Day 3 |
The day begins with a visit to the traditional seaside resort
of Sandown, before continuing to Ryde with its pier almost
half a mile long. In the afternoon, we visit Queen Victoria’s
favourite country home – Osborne House, unchanged for
over a century. The highlights include the Indian Durbar
Room, Queen Victoria’s own private bedroom and the Royal
Children’s nursery. The grounds include a Victoria Walled
Garden and hothouses containing exotic plants. |

Today’s tour begins in the Victorian Spa resort of Ventnor
before continuing to Freshwater Bay. At the western most
point of the island are The Needles and nearby is Alum
Bay, home of the famous coloured sand. Before returning
to Shanklin, we visit Godshill, a popular thatched village of
“Chocolate Box” prettiness. |
| Day 6 |
Our excursion today takes us to Cowes, a renowned
yachting centre and home of World Yachting. It has played
host to some of the greatest international sailing events
and has a sailing history second to none. We then visit
Newport, the island’s capital in the afternoon. |
