| ITINERARY |
| Day 1 |
We travel to Durham |
| Day 2 |
A day at leisure to explore Durham, perhaps visit the
Cathedral and the Castle (one of the first World Heritage
Sites). |
| Day 3 |
We travel to Barnard Castle and visit the Bowes Museum – a
French chateau in a northern landscape and one of the
country’s most fascinating museum experiences, it contains
the greatest collection of European fine and decorative arts
in the North. |
| Day 4 |
Today we head for Beamish, where past meets present, stroll
around the shops and houses of the Edwardian Town, enjoy
the huge range of attractions and talk to the dentist, school
teacher, miners etc. etc. |
| Day 5 |
We bid farewell to Durham and travel home |
